Region 4 update: June/July 2022

In January, Mono County held their county-wide Science Fair and winners will be competing at the regional SIMSEF Science Competition. One of the winners, Ellery McQuilkin, is a former ISEF winner and Mono County science fair participant for the past 7 years.  She has created a video about her experience with the competitions and shares insight into her research. Ellery has been studying the effects of climate change on glaciers located in the Eastern Sierra mountain range. She has an extensive compilation of research available on her website that chronicles years of research, 3D modeling of glacier melt among many other important environmental findings. Watch Ellery’s video about the science fair here and see her research here.
