Region 4 Announcements for August/September 2020

Debbie Gordon, Director

Hello! Thank you for bringing me back for a second term as Region 4 Director for CASE. I have enjoyed getting to know many of you in our region over the last two years and look forward to continuing those relationships and also forging many new ones. I am here to support you, enlist new members to CASE, answer questions, or point you in the right direction when looking for CASE resources.

As I write this, my district, Palm Springs Unified is getting ready to start school in August remotely. I know that most of you are also in the same situation and looking for guidance as you plan to teach NGSS via distance learning.  One resource is the county offices of education. The science and STEM specialists in these offices are working hard to provide professional development virtually to help us move forward (and you don’t have to drive anywhere). And, don’t forget to also register for the 2020 Virtual California Science Education Conference October 16-18. It’s going to be great!
