The Durham Ferry Outdoor Education Center's 'Let's Play Outside' Summer Camp, is a unique program partially funded by the CA Natural Resources Agency and district contributions. This collaborative effort with local community partners offers students in grades 4-8 an exciting blend of outdoor adventures, including hiking, kayaking, fishing, archery, disc golfing, and farm-to-table cooking. Learning at a local urban farm and exploring a regional park allowed for learning about farm animals and local wildlife. Prioritizing underserved communities, the program's exceptional ethos extends to the hiring of eight youth camp counselors through CA Natural Resources funding, creating an inclusive and enriching experience for all.
